This place is great! The food was excellent, the location is really nice (overlooking downtown MD), and the service was very good. I had the Mixto Limeño, which was very fresh, tart, herbaceous, and just all around delicious (see picture). I had the avocado bowl salad as an app, which was also tasty. My gf got the skirt steak and pesto pasta, which featured a great-sized piece of tender skirt steak with yum pesto. As a really nice touch, the chef personally came out to speak with us and ensure everything was up to par. If you've never been to Mr. Cebiche, you should definitely give it a try!

Wonderful menu, warm comfortable atmosphere and very friendly staff/chef. My first time trying Peruvian cuisine and enjoyed it very much. I will definitely be back!

The food here is crazy delicious. The serving technique and banter has a very loving South American style. It's not Olive Garden, so don't expect a speedy refill of your water with lemon. I came here to review the one negative review where the reviewer mentions that his wife is a vegetarian. You shouldn't be allowed to allocate stars, post reviews, or otherwise be present on the Internet if you preface a review of a South American restaurant with any mention of vegetarianism. I went to the music show at the rock and roll place, but my wife, who is deaf thought the beat was a bit wonky. This is my review.

Mr. Cebiche is certainly the best Peruvian food in the area. We drove up from Orlando to spend the day at Mt. Dora and this food was truly a spectacular surprise. If you're a fan of homemade Peruvian food look no further. This establishment is incredible. Tucked away on the 2nd floor you are off the hustle and bustle of the main road and tucked away in a gorgeous, clean and Peruvian inspired environment. The restaurant itself is decorated simply with the most gorgeous Peruvian paintings. The owner is so friendly and welcoming, you will instantly feel at home. The food is amazing - cooked like a delicious home cooked meal. Peruvian cooking is an art and this restaurant has mastered that art. If you've never tried Peruvian food - take the plunge and try this restaurant. You will not be disappointed by the quality of the food or the quality of the service.

Our best meal in Mt. Dora by far!! We will definitely be back!! Ordered 4 items and ate family style. The quinoa salad was fantastic, probably our favorite. Ceviche was also very good, as was the Lomo Saltado! Skewered chicken was good, but nothing special. Fantastic service, great atmosphere.

My wife and I were extremely disappointed The service was erratic at best. My wife is a vegetarian and ordered two side dishes the broccoli and spinach mashed potatoes They were presented in two bowls. When she asked for a plate, the server brought two small plates. The spinach mashed potatoes were so salty she sent them back. I don't remember what I ordered because they never delivered it. After my wife finished her broccoli, we left. The owner was too busy gabbing with customers when he needed to be in the kitchen. Needless to say this left a bad taste and hungry feeling

Mr. Cebiche offers a beautiful setting, but the price does not correspond well with the meal. Way to pricey. The server was pleasant, but often answered in ways that made us tilt our head sideways - sarcasm masked with a laugh and a wink is still sarcasm - slightly condescending, but you're not sure how to take it. Just the fact that there is two sentences on services, versus one one food, should be an indicator as to what stood out the most. Sad because I so wanted it to be amazing, but our experience fell short.

Finally found the best Peruvian restaurant in central florida. We are from orlando and did not have any luck in any peruvian restaurant. Mr. ceviche is totally authentic and fresh Peruvian food. The service is excellent. They make you feel like you are at home. Thanks Don Jorge Bracamonte! Will see you soon!

One might see the word "Peruvian" and assume the food would more or less the same as Spanish food. One would be wrong. While there were similarities the food was not only distinct but very delicious. The staff, including the head chef/owner, was very courteous and even took the time to come talk to us about the nature of Peruvian cuisine. I would recommend Mr Cabiche to anyone.

Just had lunch here during the art festival. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. They offered a special menu during the art festival and we tried three appetizers: Chicken Causa which was mashed potatoes which were layered with a yummy chicken salad and avocado, Cebiche Mixto that had fish, octopus, and shrimp marinated perfectly. Our favorite appetizer was the Chroros a la Chalaca which was a mussel marinated and served in an spoon covered in a tomato/onion/lime mixture. There were six in an order and they were so great we both could have eaten a dozen!! Only reason I didn't give five stars is because the waitress we initially had was not that knowledgable about the menu. Definitely recommend this restaurant!

We decided to dine here for an early dinner before heading to Taveres for the Cannonball Express. There were 8 of us, ranging from a 4yo to 70...and we all found something we liked on the menu. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the Saltimbacca?? which was fries and cut up hot dog. The chicken kids meal was also delicious. Two of the adults had the Peruvian paella...aka arroz con mariscos. It was uber delicious!! My wife had the house specialty...lugo something...very tasty!! An Asian inspired beef and potato dish. My MIL tried the tilapia with black butter sauce and my BIL had a delicious chicken skewers dish. All in all, the owner was very nice and you could feel his passion as he described the dishes. Our meals were very good and we'll be back next time we visit Mt Dora!!

I don't typically write reviews but this hidden little gem stands out in Mount Dora. Excellent food--try the ceviche mixto--and their service unparalleled. The owner is charming and had us sample some of the special drinks and Peruvian beer while we were there. His enthusiasm is contagious. Casual atmosphere. Celebrated a friends birthday here and she enjoyed some decadent flan to celebrate. Don't miss this place when you're in Mt Dora.

Best Peruvian food we've had in the states!!! I'm from the Ft. Lauderdale area and was in Mt. Dora for a weekend getaway with my Peruvian wife ( I'm a Gringo!). We have been to many Peruvian restaurants in the south Florida area and beyond, and the food at Mr. Cebiche tops them all! My wife agrees btw! The Ceviche was fresh, ask for the Grouper instead of Talipia, and simply outstanding! We also tried the Causa as an additional appetizer and it was just as delicious! The Lomo Saltado was fantastic and they use Tenderloin instead of a cheaper cut of steak! All the food tasted fresh and the owner/ chef Jorge took the time to come to our table and tell us all about his Peruvian cuisine. His staff was just as friendly and the service excellent! We learned that this is a family owned restaurant, as Jorge's daughter was our waitress! All this adds to the charm of Mr. Cebiche, which falls right in line with our charming little get away Mt. Dora!! It's located on the second floor in a building on Donnelly St. So give it a try next time you visit, I know we will!

We had a wonderful, authentic Peruvian meal here tonight and a delightful experience of a welcoming, friendly owner and an attentive, competent server. The causa appetizer is delicious with prawns and a treat for the eye. For mains, I had ceviche and my husband had a steak dish, both of which we ordered spicier and more typically Peruvian than the locals like it and we loved all the flavors. Wish we lived nearby so we could dine here often.

Delicious menu choices prepared with fresh ingredients and with a passion for Peruvian food. As a local Mount Dora resident I can just walk to town for lunch or dinner. I've been to most restaurants in town and this is one of the very best and most interesting restaurants in Mount Dora.

Best restaurant in Mt.Dora! We are originally from Miami and have had our share of Peruvian cuisine. The food was fresh and delicious. We ordered ceviche neptune mixto to start/share, pesto with skirt steak, chaufa de pollo, and lomo saltado. Everything was delicious! The atmosphere and decor is very nice. Also, the owner is so nice and hospitable! We will definately be back & bring our out-of-town guests.

What an unexpected surprise! My mother, girlfriend, and I had lunch here after my Mom had heard glowing reviews about this place. We order three appetizers: One Cebiche (Cerviche) made with grouper, and two Causa, one topped with crab, the other with chicken. We fully intended to follow them up with entrees, but we so satisfied and satiated, we skipped right on to dessert. Everything was so fresh and carefully prepared, and the Ceviche was the best I've ever eaten. The desserts were just as fabulous (the lucuma ice cream was amazing). We fully intend to return next week for lunch so we can actually get to the entrees. I really can't rave enough about our lunch.

Many here have said it before, but it is worth repeating. Mr. Cebiche is a FIVE STAR restaurant. It all starts with the owner Jorge. He knows his Peruvian food and his love for what he does is abundantly evident in the final product. Tonight four us were fortunate enough to arrive early and Jorge had time to spend with us. He went through the entire menu in detail and described each dish in a way you wish you could try them all. We ordered Meunier. One with Grouper and one with a Swaray....Outstanding. Also ordered was Supercholo, a delicious Cebiche dish. We started with an excellent appetizer, Papa Rellena - Stuffed Potato. Additionally we had Peruvian beers and Argentinian wines. We all agreed that Mr Cebiche may be the very best restaurant in Mount Dora and in the entire region. No kidding. Jorge told us he is soon to open a new location in Winter Park. Lucky for them. If you are looking for a new place that serves gourmet international cuisine this is the place. As a bonus it is very reasonably priced. Highly Recommend!

Oh wow! What a surprise. This place was fantastic. We were greeted by the owner. What a great and personable person. There were 4 of us and we decided to eat lunch here. We looked at the menu and had no idea. The owner came over and actually explained almost every item on the menu. We were in no hurry. He was really interesting. Even gave us some background on Peruvian food. We ended up telling him to bring us four different items off his lunch menu. We let him make the choice. What a great choice. He explained each item but it was all Greek, uh, Peruvian to me. All I know is that all four of us loved everything. It was great. We also had two different fruit drinks. Amazing. And for dessert we had two different fruit ice cream. Sorry I don't know the names of the things we had but I can say it was all good. Just let the owner pick your meal and you have it made. We will be back. Bye the way! I rarely give 5 stars.

The food, service, and atmosphere was just perfect. I had the Tallarin Verde con Steak -- spaghetti, spinach and basil sauce. All their sauces are freshly made with no preservatives. My husband had the Jalea Personal -- seafood (clams, scallops, calamari and grouper). breaded, yucca, golf sauce, criollo sauce. We split the Limena appritizer. Everything was scrumptious.
